General repairs
Services include cleaning, adjusting, and repair of the piece of photographic equipment sent in for repair.
Restoration
Full restoration is when the camera is fully taken apart. All wood is stripped of its old finish, all parts are inspected and any repairs needed to the wood are done at this time. Metal parts are cleaned, repaired and needed replacement parts are made. The camera is then reassembled and adjusted.
Bellows
Bellows of any size are available. At the time of order for a bellows, the bellows frames and bellow would be needed for sizing and manufacture of the bellows.
Film plane Calibration
Film plane calibration involves checking the registration of the film plane to the focusing plane using precision measuring tools. Both registration and parallelism are checked and corrected as needed. This service is recommended for wooden camera backs and backs that have seen some sort of impact damage i.e. dropping the back.
Spot meters
Specializing in Pentax and Soligor spot meter repairs and calibration. Parts are kept in stock for the most common repairs. Meter calibration is done at the time of meter repair. It is recommended that every year or two you have your meter recalibrated. If your meter has seen extended traveling it is apt to go out of calibration.
Lens
Cleaning, calibration, repairs, mounting, and related services are available.
Linhof Focusing Cams
Focusing cams for the older Linhof III, IIIA cameras are becoming very hard to find. When you do find one there is always the question of, will it work with the lens you have? If the lens is a modern lens then likely it will not be a good match. Cams for Linhof III, IIIA and IV can be custom made to match any lens that can be mounted on the cameras lens boards. Camera and lens are required for the service of producing a focusing cam.
Custom bails
Ever in a hurry to get that once in the life time photograph and you put the film holder into the camera only to find out later that the camera moved. A bail back is one of those items that you think you don't need until you have worked with one. It makes loading and unloading the film holders easier. With a bail back there is less likelihood of moving the camera from having to force the film holder into the camera. Not all large format cameras can take a bail, best to inquire or send photos of the back of your camera.
Custom Services Replacement parts
Need a part to make a camera work or adapt a piece of equipment to do something different than its intended fuction? The part to make this happen, is not an off the shelf item, it has to be made custom. Being a full service large format repair center we're equipped to make almost any needed part. For missing parts or custom parts, the camera or piece of photographic equipment would be needed for accurately making the part.
